Abstract

Drama is the most important ancient form of literature. The origin of drama is linked with ancient Indian and Greek literature. Although these dramas are very old, they are still popular among people who not only watch but also read them with interest.

It is very clear from the history of drama that, in most countries of the world, drama has been the best medium for presenting events related to gods and goddesses. The primary purpose of such dramas was religious and moral instruction. The history of literature shows that the stories of Ramlala, Sita Ram, Ravan, and Hanuman have been presented in the form of drama.

India and Greece, in the East and West, have played a key role in initiating and spreading this form of literature. The ideas associated with this type of literature, as well as the traditions that have emerged from it, will continue to be considered an essential part of this art in the future.
