Abstract

Thematic Study of Post-partition Urdu Ghazal
Urdu Ghazal has manifested all the cultural, social and political ups and downs of its time and proved to be the most powerful genre of Urdu poetry. It has gone through many changes thematically as well as stylistically through the course of time. We can see a significant difference in the content of the ghazal poetry before partition and after partition. The ghazal poets have elaborated their contemporary social and political scenario. The article discusses the same in an analytical way.
