Abstract

Acoustic Phonetics: Fundamental Concepts And Terminology
Acoustic Phonetics is a relatively new discipline. Due to its technical nature,phoneticians mostly consider it as a branch of physics. Only a few urdu linguists have paid attention to it. They have not yet devised a unanimous system of urdu terminology Basic concepts presented by them are lacking in clarity as well. In this article propaedeutics and terminology of Acoustic Phonetics have been discussed in detail.
