Abstract

The efficient supply chain management (SCM) is vital for securing competitiveadvantage and improving organizational performance since competition is no longerbetween organizations, but among supply chains. In the perspective of supply chaindynamism (SCD), the suppliers, manufactures and retailers are facing majorproblems regarding the performance for gaining or sustaining theattractiveness. This research tested the relationships between supply chaindynamism, supply chain integration and supply chain performance. Data for the studywas collected through survey from manufacturing industry (textile) and therelationships were tested using dynamic capability theory. The findings of the study arethat the supply chain dynamism leads to enhanced supply chain performance withmediation effect of supply chain integration (SCI). This study covers the manufacturingindustries of Pakistan. In future, research can be conducted on other industries likepharmaceutical, service sector. Moreover, dimensions of supply chain integration(internal integration, supplier integration, information integration, externalintegration) separately as mediator can be further investigated.
