Abstract

Foll owing  Hali ' s  era,   among  t he  contemporaries  of  iqbal  t he poet,s  who  have  brought  revolutionary  changes  in  Urdu  poetry, Mir  Ghulam  Bheek  Nairang  is  a  prominent  name.  Mir  Nairang was  one  of  the  few  people  of  our  literary  and  national  history who  devoted  his  whole  life  for  academic,  literary,  political  and national  cause  and  activit ies.  Owing  t o  t he  very  fact,  he  le ft great impression on our national and literary history. Among the peers  of  Iqbal,  Nairang  was  an  ambitious  and  optimistic  poet. Interaction  with  Iqbal  and  an  exposure  of  Iqbal's  poetic  genius bestowed  Nairan,s  poetry  with  a  novel  spirit  and  poetic  sense. Nai r a n g' s   Ur d u   Gh a za l   is   p a r t i c ula r l y  r e c o gn i z e d   f o r   i ts simplicity,  extempore  expression  and  aesthetic  pleasure.  Iqbal's poetic   influence  is   prominently  felt  in   the  underlying  poetic sense and quite visible in the expression of Nairang's poetry.
