"Ravi" is a literary magazine of Government College (GC University) Lahore which has been continuously published since 1906 to to-date. Until the formation of Pakistan, it was published in English, Urdu, Hindi, and two scripts of Punjabi (Shahmukhi, Gurmukhi), after the partition, Hindi and Gurmukhi stopped publishing. Most of the students and teachers of the college were from Punjab, including Muslims, Hindus, S,ikhs and Christians. In the spirit of patriotism students, teachers and old Ravians have always written in Punjabi (Shahmukhi, Gurmukhi) and Urdu for the development and promotion of Punjabi language and literature as well Urdu and English. Therefore, from the very beginning, thousands of pages of excellent and historical Punjabi literature have been the adornment of the magazine Ravi. This research article analyzes the Punjabi, Urdu poetic an,d prose writings of Ravi Magazine which show the identity of Punjab and Punjabi writers have tried to highlight the social, political, literary a,nd linguistic traditions of  Punjab in thein way.
