Abstract

Many Prophets who were sent to different nations for the guidance of mankind have been explicitly mentioned in the Holy Quran and the Previous Divine Scriptures. The areas or the regions to where they had been sent are also mentioned, at times, with names and sometimes without. Many Nations ridiculed and rejected the message. This article mainly features the Pharaoh and his people who rejected the message of Moses as well as his demand to let the children of Israel go with him to the land chosen for them by Almighty God. The history of Egypt, Royal dynasties that ruled and the life style of the Pharaoh or Egyptian people, their tyranny and oppression towards the children of Israel in the light of the Holy Quran and the Bible, (Old Testament in particular) have been discussed in detail. The fate of the pharaoh that entails the scientific research or findings with regard to the body of the Pharaoh of the Exodus has been carefully examined. A thorough comparison has been made with regard to the topic in order to see the similarities and differences between both the scriptures, Quran and the Bible. For depicting historical events, important places or locations have been highlighted using the map where necessary.
