For the past few centuries, Muslims have been engaged in efforts to revive and implement the Islamic system around the world. These revival and constructive efforts can be divided into several dimensions. One form of these revival efforts is to strive for the establishment of Islamic government, the implementation of the Islamic system, and the establishment of Islamic religion throughout the world. Among many others Maulana Wahiduddin Khan is also well-known in the sub-continent due to his thoughts and practical efforts regarding Farizah Iqamat e Deen. His concern regarding the obligation of Iqamah Deen is different from other Muslim thinkers of the subcontinent. This paper analyses his thoughts about Farizah Aqamat e Deen. According to him the meaning of Iqamat e Deen is not to establish the deen, but to preserve the established. According to other thinkers, it means both to establish and keep the established. For him the main purpose of Prophets is not to perform Farizah Aqamat e Deen. Its not obligatory for Muslims to make efforts for the establishment of Islamic system in the whole world.

The paper highlights a divergence in interpretation regarding the concept of "Iqamah Deen" among Muslim thinkers. While many consider it to encompass both establishing and preserving the Islamic way of life, Maulana Wahiduddin Khan's view is presented as focusing solely on preservation. This distinction has implications for understanding the scope of religious obligation and the role of Muslims in societal and political spheres.
Maulana Wahiduddin Khan's understanding of Iqamah Deen differs from other thinkers. He believes it means to preserve what is already established, rather than to establish it anew. He also posits that the primary purpose of prophets is not to perform Iqamah Deen, and it is not obligatory for Muslims to strive for the establishment of an Islamic system worldwide.
The study concludes that Maulana Wahiduddin Khan's interpretation of Iqamah Deen is distinct, emphasizing preservation over establishment and questioning the universal obligation for Muslims to establish an Islamic system globally.
