ABSTRACT:
All rulers, kings and chiefs of different tribes are not the same, there are good and bad among them. When the government is in the hands of good people, peace and order is established and the people are happy, and when it is in the hands of bad people, it causes destruction and corruption in the country. Many rulers, kings and chiefs of tribes have been mentioned in the Holy Quran. In this article we will see how good and bad rulers influence society. Nowadays, while in a large part of the world, the people choose their rulers through their votes, the choice of good rulers is very important for the whole country. The common people and especially the educated people should know the importance and necessity of this and should always try to elect good rulers. In this article, the kings and rulers mentioned in the Holy Quran have been compared with the contemporary governments. Nowadays, although the divine claims of the rulers are not visible because the people of the world are against dictatorship, but in reality, since the formation of the United Nations after the Second World War, five powerful countries are playing the role of dictators in the whole world. They are so powerful that they can give constitutional protection to oppression and dictatorship for years and decades by using the right of veto in the United Nations which consists of one hundred and ninety-three (193) countries.
Key Words: Quran, Rulers, Kings, Chiefs of tribes, United Nations, dictatorship.

The author argues that the selection of good rulers is crucial for national well-being, a principle illustrated by examples from the Quran. The discussion extends to modern international relations, where the influence of a few powerful nations on global affairs is likened to a form of dictatorship, despite the prevalence of democratic ideals.
The article posits that the nature of rulers (good or bad) significantly impacts societal peace and order. It draws parallels between historical leadership in the Quran and contemporary governments, suggesting that while overt divine claims of rulers are less common today, powerful nations can exert dictatorial influence through mechanisms like the UN veto power.
The overarching insight is the enduring importance of ethical leadership and the responsibility of citizens to elect virtuous rulers. The article implies that the principles of good governance, as depicted in religious texts, remain relevant in understanding and navigating contemporary political systems.
