Abstract

This research aims to study the format of the anecdote and its different forms: Illustrating the concept of the format. And its importance, that is to say: the way in which the narrator of the story presents it to the readers. The importance is on the way of presenting the events and not on the events themselves. The format of the story represent the network of relations which are generated between the story and the speech, the speech and the narrating in addition to the relation of each element with all the other element.
 This research also studies the forms of the anecdotes and its variations, that is to say: the style or the method or the way of presenting the speech through the narration, the presenting and the description of the events because the difference between writers is that a writer illustrates things while another one just mentions them.
