Abstract

Fashion and textile design pedagogical training is relatively a new theoretical and research approach towards the betterment of the textile and fashion design education. As we have previously adopted very experimental approach in teaching textile and fashion and even appointing instructional systems. However, these particular fields required a certain background in different unique skills and practicebased techniques so it's more likely to have a better understanding of both academia and the industry. Moreover because of drastic alterations constantly surfacing in design pedagogy relating to ever growing number of students and unstable job market. Which most definitely requires a rigorous training to be able to cope with pressure and disappointment. So instead of relying on antiquated systems of learning It's better to upgrade the experience and knowledge regarding design. The gap between industry and design pedagogy requires a bridge of better learning and practice. In this research paper we will discuss the need for textile and fashion design learning and pedagogy. It will equip the instructors and curriculum designers with the suggestions for the improvement and better understanding of textile and fashion design learning.||Keywords: Design pedagogy, Fashion, Textile, Curriculum, Industry.
