Abstract

Islamic rulings cover belief, worship, and worldly matters. In worldly matters, economics is central to human life. Economics in Islamic is not a mere theory but it is a system, and it has vast applications in society. Any disruption in economic matters disturbs human life. In the wake of this, Islamic jurists have paid a great attention to protect the needs and interests of the people. Islam is a universal and living religion. It is the height of Islamic law that its principles are so comprehensive and perfect that they provide solutions to the problems that arise in every age. In this article, Islamic rules of priority (Usool-e-Tarjeeh) in economic matters have been explored, hence, to highlight the aspect of universality, comprehensiveness, breadth, and convenience of Shariah.
