In the following document, we realize the development and evaluation of a device capable of identifying the dream state of a person for the control of a home automation system. This takes advantage of the user's breathing time lapses to achieve the detection of the sleep state and is integrated into a system arranged for the application of the domotic control in a place. It is evidenced through an analysis of the electricity in a house as the implementation of the system generates significant savings and how its application would improve the quality of the user's sleep. With the proposed design an optimal response is observed in the detection stage, where the measurements of the quality of service (QoS) parameters indicate its correct operation.
