Abstract

The primary source for language learning is the textbook in schools, which contains the right usage of words, phrases, and sentences. As children are required to study textbooks, there is no question that a child who talks, reads, and writes the language at home and school will develop a mature pattern and right use of language as he grows Therefore, curriculum and textbook language is of enormous importance. During pre-partition times, Deevan Kory Mal, Chandan Mal, Tara Chand Shoki Ram, Preetam Otram Jhangiani, Dr. Umer Bin Muhammad Daudpoto, Muhamamd Siddique Musafir, Bheero Mal Mahar Chand Advani, Parmanand Meva Ram, Mirza Kaleech Baig and other played a vital role in composing prose and poetry. Muhamamd Ibrahim Joyo, Imdad Hussaini, and other Sindhi linguists and scholars were instrumental in gathering, producing, and correcting Sindhi textbooks after the partition. Imdad Hussaini is a scholar of the highest calibre and a renowned author, editor, and reviewer. He was a skilful editor of Sindhi language textbooks. Additionally, he composed Sindhi poetry and prose for textbooks based on the intellectual aptitude, age, and interests of children.
