Abstract

Anees Ashfaq has great reputation in "Luckhnow Nagaari". He is simultaneously, a critic, poet, translator and critic and fiction writer. His writings reflect biographic elements as well as the declining society of Lucknow. His three novels have been published but "Dukhyara" stands prominent among all. This novel has surpassed two other novels in term of popularity. This novel is overwhelmingly biographic in witch the writer wears his heart upon his sleeves. Mother died, father abandoned him, the house sold out and the brother also died. This story, having a few characters, proceeds slowly. This story encompasses a number of tragedies.
