Abstract

            One of the two genera in the family Musaceae and order Zingiber ales is the genus Musa, which includes the banana. A banana is a monocotyledonous herbaceous plant, according to botany that is a member of the Musaceae family and section Eusuma. 8818-William and Brazilian these two varieties which are the most widely utilized in Pakistan's Sindh province for general cultivation have been the subject of the current study. The creation of an effective multiplication process is required to obtain healthy planting materials free of viruses and diseases. The aim of the present study was to create an effective and reliable technique for multiplying newly introduced banana varieties, such as 8818-William and Brazilian, by examining various combinations of hormones and supplements in MS media, The average number of production shoots were shown to be impacted by the physical state of the media. According to the results, there was no significant difference between the two kinds in terms of the average number of shoots produced; nevertheless, there was a considerable difference between the two physical states of the media. Because the nutrients in liquid media are distributed uniformly, it is likely that liquid media promoted maximum shoot multiplication and proliferation compared to solid media. Moreover, compared to solid media, liquid media facilitates explant nutrition uptake more quickly and readily.
