Social capital has emerged as a critical factor in enhancing community resilience, particularly in response to socio-economic challenges and environmental disasters. This paper explores the impact of social capital on community resilience through a comparative analysis of different communities in Pakistan. By examining the role of trust, networks, and collective action, the study aims to identify the mechanisms through which social capital strengthens communities' ability to cope with and recover from adversities. The findings highlight that communities with higher levels of social capital exhibit greater social cohesion and have more efficient mechanisms for recovery. In contrast, communities with lower social capital struggle with coordination and resource mobilization during crises. This study contributes to understanding the interplay between social structures and resilience, offering insights for policymakers and community leaders working to enhance resilience in vulnerable regions.
