There is an increasing growth in cognitive architectures, but few have been implemented at the application level. One of the reasons is that their implementation requires extensive engineering work to meet their parallel distributed computing requirements concerning service-oriented design and implementation. Therefore, there is a need for architecture description language that could be used to model and implement service-oriented software architecture, which could provide a framework-level abstract to the developer for the implementation of cognitive agents. Therefore, we propose XML-based architecture description language, which may provide more freedom to explore possibilities of modelling techniques for cognitive software architecture development. The proposed solution is evaluated on CLARION cognitive architecture. The case study mapped on the clarion model shows the incorporation of relatively sophisticated meta-cognitive mechanisms, the construction of meta-cognitive processes' simulations is made more straightforward, less adhoc, and more consistent.
