Abstract

The goal of the current study was to determine how adult attachment type, spousal support, and marital satisfaction in newlywed men and women relate to one another. Find spousal support to play a mediation function between attachment style (dependent, anxious) and marital pleasure. Adult Attachment Style (Hazen & Shaver, 19887) In order to assess spousal support, relational attachment styles, and marital satisfaction in newlywed men and women, researchers employed the Spousal Support Scale (Schuster, T. L., Kessler, Rc., and Asselstine, R.H., 1990) and the Couple Satisfaction Index (Funk & Rogee, 2007). Data were analysed to look for descriptive, relationship, and mediation patterns using descriptive statistics, Pearson Product Moment Correlation, and PROCESS. According to the findings, marital satisfaction was positively correlated with close attachment. Additionally, spousal support acts as a mediator between a dependent, anxiety-provoking attachment type and marital contentment.
