With the help of single-relaxation-time Lattice Boltzmann (SRT-LBM) the two dimensional numerical investigations are carried out to study the flow behavior over a square cylinder by placing a small control cylinder at up right corner of the main cylinder. Two different gap spacings are taken between main and control cylinder i-e L = 5 and L = 10 at different Reynolds number. For balancing the earlier literature performance with advance codes, the codes are verified. This useful technique determines distinct way of flow patterns and force coefficients such as Cdmean, Cdrms, Clrms, and strouhal number for flow about square cylinder. Five types of flow patterns are noted by this study. After calculating the values of Cdmean, Cdrms, Clrms, and strouhal number it was noted that maximum fluid forces are reduced at low Reynolds number which are less than 60 and at low Reynolds number the steady flow pattern is occurred. The steady flow pattern is mostly occurred at the gap space L = 10 where the fluid forces are more reduced so the ideal gap space for this study is L = 10.
