Ten varieties of pearl millet including a check were evaluated at Fodder Research Sub[1]Station, AARI, Faisalabad during kharif, 2001. Significant differences were observed among the varieties for plant height, number of tillers per plant, number of leaves per tiler and green fodder yield while differences for leaf area were non-significant Variety Tandojam Millet Selection was the tallest {238.67 cm) and check variety M83- %7 attained minimum height (153.67 cm). Number of tillers per plant ranged from 5.1 {check MB-87) to 6.80 (Tandojam Millet Selection, NARC-1) while number of leaves per tiller varied from 10.66 (check MD-87) to 13.67 (Tandojam Millet Selection) Maximum leaf arca (256.15 cm?) was shown by NARC-5 against minimum of MB-87 (206.15 cm) Tandojam Millet Selection ranked first in green fodder yield {71 1ha) followed by NARC-1 (70.06 t/ha) and ExbD2 Bulk (69,75 t/ha), Check variety MB-87 produced the lowest fodder yield (45.96 t/ha).
