Eight varieties, sown in the area of Potato Research Station, Sialkot were screened against the attack of potato aphid and virus infection during autumn, 2003. Counts of aphid were made from 10 compound leaves per plot and virus infection was recorded by observing all the plants per plot at 10 days interval. The results show that all the varieties were statistically non-significant with regard to aphid population which ranged from 0.39 to 0.80 per leaf. Virus infection was statistically higher on variety SH-10 (7.60%) followed by Cardinal (4.48%). The variety Desiree had no virus infection was statistically equal to SH-19 (0.20%), SH-25(0.48%) and $H-5 (0 60%)
