Genetic diversity through Metroglyph method m different munghean genotypes was studied at Nuclear Institute for Agriculture and Biology (NIAR), Faisalabad during 2003-04. Thirteen mutants varieties originated from five Asian countries used n Regional Mungben Mululocanon Trial (RMMT} were grown in a randomized complete block design with three replications in both the crapping seasons. Hach plot consisted of 6 rows of 6 meter length with one seedling per hill The data were recorded on seed yield and yield contributing characters viz. days to maturity. pods pes plant. seed yield per plant. harvest index and 100 seed weight. Al the genotypes exhibited considerable variability. Metroglyph scatter diagram provided the possibility of 10 groups of mungbean genotypes. On the basis of this grouping 1t can be inferred that hybridization between Group-1 (PS5-32-g0 NM34, MM31 x 197340 NM20-21) and group-1l (CAMAR, 2917A, PAEC-3, GELATIK) w expected to give better mungbean recombinants.
