Abstract

The formation and significance of consciousness in Urdu short fiction is a subject that highlights the intellectual and artistic depths of the genre. This study examines the awakening of consciousness, the reflection of psychological dimensions, and the expression of the inner world of individuals within Urdu short stories. From the early twentieth century to the present, Urdu fiction writers have explored human internal realities, establishing new trends in literature. This research critically analyzes various movements such as the stream of consciousness, existential thought, and the development of social awareness. It also sheds light on the potentialities within Urdu short fiction that open new creative and intellectual pathways. This study aims to deepen the understanding of the intertextual relationship between consciousness and Urdu fiction, offering a broader perspective on the evolution of thought in literary narratives.
