Abstract

Water is the basic need of human life, as the population growth increases the demand for fresh water also increases day by day. The main problem for the world is to convey clean water because it is continuously decreasing due to climate change and global warming. The main issue of fresh water for people who live in the desert and in new arid regions and it is not possible for communities to easily find fresh water for domestic purposes. Various forms of desalination technologies have been used to desalinate saline and brackish water with different methods. But the easiest and simplest method is the basin solar type. The research is based on the modification of solar basin liner to enhance the productivity of purifying water. The modified solar basin is consisting of multiple concentrators, solar thermal collector and paraffin wax used as a PCM (phase change material). Multiple concentrators help to increase the temperature of the solar basin, solar thermal collector heat up the solar basin and PCM (phase change material) work in the absence of sunshine.
