Abstract

The game of fencing is one of the games that need special physical abilities that are characterized by the distinctive strength of speed is one of the most important basic pillars on which the fencing player is based, the player who does not have the physical abilities necessary for a particular activity will not be able to master the motor skills of this activity.  Fencing requires estimating the distance of the duel and the speed of attack towards the opponent and suddenly and muscular ability that goes at once with maximum effort and the least time to reach the legal goal of the competitor from the nearest and shortest way and with extreme accuracy to record a touch, and therefore the importance of the strength characteristic of speed as an element that the fencer must possess and to a high degree in order to achieve a good level and outstanding results. The game of fencing requires a good use of arm movements in attack and defense, as well as the player's possession of strong arms, because it is integrated with mastery of technical movements related to fencing, that the physical preparation of any event is necessary in the development of skill performance for that effectiveness. As for the research problem, through the practical experience of the researcher in the field of training fencing chairs, the researcher saw the use of new training methods that enhance and develop the players' physical and skill abilities, especially for what the game of fencing for the disabled, including weight training, because the game of fencing on chairs, which is often not used in the training of these players, because this category of players is relying on the arm only, which needs strength greatly during performance The researcher believes that these exercises with weights play an effective role in developing the skill of the circular attack because it needs strength and speed in the act and reaction and the importance of the research lies in the use of weight training to develop the distinctive strength of the speed of the arms and the skill of the circular attack for disabled fencing players, the study aimed to identify the impact of the use of weight training in the development of the strength characteristic speed of the arms and the skill of the circular attack for disabled fencing players, and the most important results of the research were that there are statistically significant differences between The results of the pre- and post-tests of the research group and in favor of the post-tests, and the research sample was represented by the disabled fencing players in the Katoun Youth Center, which numbered (4) players, and the main sample of the research (3) players representing the experimental group, and then the researcher conducted the tribal tests.  The study included the implementation of training units according to weight training for a period of (8) weeks and by (2) units per week, after which the post-tests were conducted, and then the data was processed statistically and using appropriate statistical tests and means.
