Sports psychology plays an important role in studying the behavior of athletes, including volleyball players, particularly regarding personality, as it is the primary guide for all player behaviors both on and off the court. The concept of self-perception is one of the pillars linked to personality traits, through which athletes can enhance their awareness of themselves, their abilities, and how they interact with their teammates. Self-perception focuses on the internal aspects of personality, making the athlete more aware of cognitive processes, beliefs, and moods. It also addresses social aspects, including the kind of impression an individual leaves on others and their beliefs. The current research aims to understand the nature of the relationship between personality types and self-assertion among volleyball players by utilizing a descriptive approach. The results indicated a relationship between personality types and self-assertion for volleyball students. The researchers recommend the necessity of identifying and paying attention to each player's self-pattern to facilitate interaction and understanding of their behavior.
