Abstract

In order to determine the direct and indirect impacts of mental and motor abilities on female students' performance of the dribbling skill in futsal, the research attempts to construct a model of the causal link. Utilizing causal links and the survey method, the descriptive approach was applied. The research community was selected from among the thirty-eight fourth-year female students enrolled in the University of Babylon's College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for the 2022–2023 academic year. To reflect the research sample, they were all selected. Tests of mental (quickness of reaction, focus, field intelligence) and physical (strength shown by leg speed, transitional speed, endurance speed) abilities were administered. I processed the results of the futsal dribbling test using the statistical package (SPSS) version 24 and the statistical software (AMOS) for statistical approaches. The validity of the causal model, which represents the influence of the independent variables (mental skills) mediated by (physical abilities) on the dependent variables (dribbling skill in futsal, was one of the research's findings. It uses the concepts of independent, intermediate, and dependent variables to illustrate why variables are important. One of the research's recommendations is to use the impacts' findings and relate them to the educational experience of female students playing futsal in Physical Education College.
