Abstract

The result of the research lies in the discovery of educational alternatives through the use of the pyramid of preference strategy, which the researcher believes helps students learn some basic basketball skills in order to contribute to providing an educational method that helps raise the level of performance in basketball within the prescribed curriculum and may be considered an evaluation of the vocabulary of teaching a subject Basket in faculties of education. The following were the research objectives: The first stage is to prepare workouts for students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Babylon using the pyramid of preference approach. 2- To determine the impact of the pyramid of preference technique on students' development of basic basketball abilities. 3- Differentiating between the control and experimental groups in acquiring some basic basketball skills for pupils. As for the research hypotheses: 1- There is a positive effect of the pyramid of preference strategy in learning some basic basketball skills for students. 2- There is a preference for the experimental group over the control group in learning some basic basketball skills students. As for the most important conclusions: 1- The pyramid of preference strategy contributed significantly to learning some basic basketball skills for students. 2- Changing learning strategies and moving away from the traditional method contributes to increasing the learning of basic basketball skills for students. 3- The pyramid of preference strategy is suitable for team games and has a greater impact than individual games. As for the most important recommendations of the research: 1- Using the pyramid of preference in learning basic offensive and defensive skills in basketball and other team games. 2- The use of modern educational strategies in learning to perform various skills in various games and reduce reliance on traditional strategies.
