Abstract

Repression represents an artistic phenomenon in Andalusian poetry, which emanates through motives and criteria emerged from the human spirit. The oppressed man seems to be motivated with a gloomy appearance, because he was familiar with oppression, and gained a clear social significance due to compelling force and the absence of social justice. The political conditions played a great in shaping the features of Andalusian society in the era of Bani al-Ahmar, after the Crusades campaign, which was waged on Andalusia , prompted many of the country’s residents to leave their cities for fear of the oppression of the enemies.
