Blockchain technology is gaining more attraction with every passing day, as it has revolutionized the traditional trade due to its distributed ledger feature, every record in this ledger is secured by rules of cryptography which makes it more secure and tamper-free. As a result, blockchain has the potential to change the way we buy and sell, how we interact with government and verify the authenticity of everything from property titles to organic fresh vegetables. Blockchain is a distributed database of records where the transaction is verified by consensus of various participants in the system. This paper review the blockchain technology and some specific applications, risks, challenges for financial and non-financial domains. This paper help to new researchers in this area to explore and design new solutions to taking the existing demands and challenges into account.
