Abstract

The science of Islamic belief "علم العقييدة" has been considered most valuable discipline among other disciplines of knowledge as it plays an important, rather pivotal role in the practical life. This research article was aimed at addressing the reflections and impact of Islamic belief system on human thought and actions. Qualitative research technique was used for the collection, analysis, and demonstration of data. The research had particularly addressed the three major dimensions of the topic: Firstly: Literal and technical meanings of Aqeedah, Secondly: Essential elements of al-Aqeedah al-Islamiyah, and Thirdly Impact and reflections of Islamic belief on human thought and actions. The systematic review of literature disclosed that belief has a direct correlation with the human thinking and actions and leave an immense influence upon them. The correct belief leads towards positive thinking whereas incorrect belief leads towards incorrect and negative thinking and actions. Particularly, Islamic belief system develops self-awareness, inner peace, satisfaction, broad-based vision, stimulates mind, enlightens heart, corrects the man’s world view, makes man responsible, accountable, patient, and target oriented. It is therefore suggested that Islamic scholars should realize the course of time and step forward to interpret the impact of Islamic system of beliefs in rational, systematic and logical way. This exercise on one hand will promotes the peace into the society and encounters the evils while on the other hand it will spread the universal message of Islam in the globe.
