The aim of the present study was to examine the impact of stress on anxiety and the moderating role of ego resilience between this relationship. Likewise, forgiveness was also thought to be a negative predictor of anxiety. The data of the present study comprised of 300 respondents between 15-35 years (Mean = 21.94, SD = 2.84) of age. The sample contained equal number of males and females. Four scales were used to measure the constructs of the study, i.e., Ego Resilience scale, state-Trait anxiety inventory, Hartland Forgiveness Scale and Perceived Stress Scale. The results confirmed the first hypothesis as perceived stress accounted for 35 % of anxiety with a positive beta value (r=.59). The second and third hypotheses were not confirmed as ego resilience did not moderate the relation between perceived stress and anxiety and forgiveness had a significant positive contribution in anxiety instead of negative contribution. The findings of the study suggest that mental health specialists should keep these findings in mind while working on interventions to make an appropriate treatment plan for anxiety according to the cultural requirement of the diverse populations.
