Abstract

Creating and validating a Likert-type scale to evaluate university students' knowledge management (KM) practices was the aim of this study. Three hundred undergraduate, MPhil, and PhD students were given a 30 items scale. Ten important KM practice dimensions were found using exploratory factor analysis. These included ten factors encourage knowledge sharing, promote a learning culture, foster innovation, create and maintain up to date knowledge, conduct regular knowledge audits, continuously improve knowledge management workflows, implementing knowledge management tools, providing training and support, communicate impotence of knowledge management and follow the latest knowledge management trends with three items in each factor. Analyses of validity and reliability verified the scale's consistency and psychometric soundness. The finished product provides a trustworthy device for assessing knowledge management procedures in scholarly settings.
