Abstract

Mushroom farming provide and up-to-date opportunity to utilize microbial innovation for viable entrepreneurship. This study research investigated the utilization of agricultural waste and techniques of indigenous microorganisms in the cultivation of pleurotus species as a model for young centred agricultural business. The lignocellulose degrading bacteria that are compost accelerating were isolated and used in substrates preparation. In which the demonstrated outcomes increased the Mycelial colonization, increase mushroom yield, and improved economic feasibility. This suggested model supports viable and sustainable agriculture, employment generation and waste management in low resource environment.
