Abstract

This study provides a comprehensive phonetic analysis of the consonants in the Urdu language, examining their classification, places of articulation, and distinct phonetic features. By integrating both linguistic and literary approaches, the research explores how the phonetic structure of Urdu not only shapes its spoken form but also contributes to the aesthetic quality of its poetry and prose. The study delves into the role of consonants in the rhythm and sound patterns of Urdu, offering a nuanced understanding of its phonological system. The findings highlight the significance of these phonetic elements in enhancing pronunciation, language teaching, and the art of Urdu literature.
