Abstract

Zahra Nigah is a world-renowned and famous poetess. She belongs to an academic and literary family that is why she inherited a taste for poetry from her childhood. She wrote her first poem/verse at the age of just eleven years. Her poetry usually deals with emotional issues of daily life. These are the emotions, which are called the voice of the women. The greatest quality of Zahra Nigah's poetry is that in her poems, a simple style has been adopted, especially away from metaphors, similes, and technical elements of the poetry. However, the aforementioned technical and artistic elements are found in her Ghazal. That is why; her Ghazal is considered to be significantly different and more difficult than her poems. In this research article, we will examine the similes, metaphors and artistic elements used in the verses of selected Ghazlas of Zahra Nigah.  Also we will take the prosodic and thematic view of some verses of the renowned poetess. thematic view.
