This qualitative research project examines multifaceted realm of caregiver training practices when working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), from a phenomenological standpoint to illustrate considerable diversity of views & experiences. study uses NVIVO 14 for rigorous data analysis & to examine issues including training practices, views of caregivers, logistical challenges, & training effects on caregiving practices by interviewing caregivers to people diagnosed with ASD. results illustrate a wide arc of caregiver experience, from formal provided training programs to informal adaptative learning processes. Caregivers implicitly emphasized person-centerdness, flexibility, & individualized approaches based on client needs. In addition, analysis situated connection between caregiver views & training & role it plays on quality of support provided. study indicates importance of ongoing learning & skill development in achieving positive future supports for those on autistic spectrum. study also highlights advantage of family-centered, collaborative training programs that incorporate perspectives of professionals, caregivers, & individuals with ASD. study also contributes valuable insights originally gathered to inform development of effective interventions, networks of support & future research initiatives that may be geared towards improving efficacy of care & support services for individuals with ASD & their families by clarifying nature of caregiver training methods.
