Abstract

The present case study defines autism spectrum disorder (ASD) including diagnostic criteria, suspected causes, prevalence, comorbidities, and influences on client factors. A hypothetical clinical case study is presented to give readers an illustration of what someone with ASD having certain behaviors. Possible assessment based on evidence and selected frame of references will be given for the proposed client. In the present case study multiple clinical tests Slosson Intelligence Test (SIT)Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales (VABS)The Child Autism Rating Scale (CARS) were conducted for assessment.
