Abstract

The radiologists have traditionally been service providers for our clinical colleagues. Radiology was a speciality that was consigned to the back rooms, practiced by unknown men and women who would emerge from these darkened room from time to time to sign their report. They had little (or no) input into the selection of the imaging tests applied to the patient populations. This has over time led to an expectation from the clinicians that whatever they ask or will be carried out without any argument.
