Abstract

The advent of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ marks not only a spiritual revolution but also a comprehensive ethical framework encompassing every dimension of human life — including the environment. While environmental issues such as climate change, deforestation, pollution, and water scarcity dominate contemporary discourse, the Prophetic model presents a timeless paradigm for ecological preservation rooted in divine revelation. This article explores the environmental teachings embedded in the Seerah of the Prophet ﷺ, highlighting his personal practices and public policies that reflect a deep concern for ecological balance. Through a thematic analysis of authentic Hadiths and early Islamic sources, this study uncovers principles of sustainability, prohibition of wastage, rights of animals, water conservation, and plantation — all embodied in the Prophet’s ﷺ life. This scholarly inquiry aims to bridge the gap between prophetic wisdom and modern environmental ethics, offering practical solutions inspired by the Prophet’s ﷺ example to address today’s global ecological crisis.
