This study investigates employees' perceptions of performance management (PM) in nonprofit, nongovernmental educational organizations in Pakistan. The research aims to understand how employees' perceptions of PM affect key organizational variables such as work performance (WP), organizational commitment (OC), voluntary turnover intention (TI), organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), and job satisfaction (JS). A structured questionnaire was used to gather data from 164 employees of nonprofit educational organizations in Pakistan. A Likert scale questionnaire was utilized for data collection. SPSS 20 was used to do regression analysis. The results showed a significant positive correlation between employees' perceptions of PM and all dependent variables, except for voluntary turnover intention. Improvements in employees' perceptions of PM were found to enhance WP, OC, OCB, and JS while reducing voluntary TI. The study's robustness suggests that HR managers can develop improvements in PM systems that can reduce turnover rates, enhance satisfaction with work, commitment, and citizenship behavior, and increase total productivity. Future research could include comparative analyses between nonprofit and for-profit educational organizations.
