Abstract

This study investigates the impact of workplace happiness on organizational innovation performance with the mediating effects of co-worker support, job stress, and innovative work behavior in the E-commerce industry of Karachi, Pakistan. In today’s globalized and competitive business environment, innovation has become crucial for organizational survival and success. Using non-probability convenience sampling, data was collected from 325 employees (officer to senior manager level) through a structured five-point Likert scale survey questionnaire. Analysis conducted through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) revealed significant relationships among all variables: workplace happiness, co-worker support, job stress, innovative work behavior, and organizational innovation performance. The findings confirmed that co-worker support and innovative work behavior mediate the relationship between workplace happiness and organizational innovation performance, while no mediation was found through job stress. This research contributes to understanding how positive workplace emotions and supportive environments foster innovation in the rapidly growing E-commerce sector of Pakistan, offering practical implications for enhancing organizational innovation through employee-centered approaches.
