Abstract

Internet of Things envisions a talk able platform for heterogenous devices. It implies devices with heterogenous capabilities are communicating over a common platform. Many supporting technologies exist to complement this idea. One such technology is Fog Computing. Fog Computing indicates that there is a horizontal platform that sits between devices and the Central Cloud. This intermediary layer enhances system performance and provides immediate response to the connected modes for transactional operations, thereby reducing the network traffic that is routed towards the Cloud. This paper provides an overview of Fog Computing in Internet of Things.
