Abstract

This article examines how the three main world religions—Christianity, Hinduism and Islam—interpret pain and provide moral guidelines for dealing with suffering. It emphasises how spiritual ideas can be incorporated into contemporary medical procedures, especially when it comes to pain management. The perspectives of compassion, dignity, and comprehensive care are used to analyse the function of anaesthesia. The connection of religious teachings with modern ethical approaches to pain relief is emphasised.
