Abstract

Domestic conflicts are an inevitable part of human relationships, particularly within the framework of family life. The life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) presents a timeless model of compassion, wisdom, and strategic conflict resolution, especially in dealing with household matters. This paper explores the Prophetic approach to managing and resolving domestic disputes by examining authentic incidents from his life, his interactions with his wives, and his guidance to companions facing familial challenges. The study highlights key principles such as empathy, patience, communication, emotional intelligence, and justice in the Prophet’s dealings. His methods emphasized reconciliation over confrontation, mutual respect over dominance, and understanding over judgment. By analyzing these aspects, the paper aims to present a framework grounded in Prophetic wisdom that remains relevant for contemporary Muslim families seeking harmony and effective conflict resolution.
