Abstract

The purpose of this study was to formulate strategies to promote physical activity among school children, a crucial undertaking given the growing concern about juvenile obesity and sedentary habits. Physical inactivity in children is associated with a variety of health hazards, including obesity, cardiovascular illnesses, and mental health problems, which makes it a priority in public health. The need to develop effective techniques to promote physical activity in this specific population is becoming critical. This entails evaluating their current levels of involvement, both within and outside the educational institution. Teachers have the option to hold sessions outside or include physical activities in their teaching techniques. Family and community interaction is also vital in encouraging youngsters to be more active. Parents and guardians have the potential to serve as exemplars for active lives and may motivate their children to engage in physical activities. Community activities, such as sports days or family fun runs, may be arranged to encourage physical exercise and cultivate a sense of community centered on promoting a healthy lifestyle. Schools and legislators have a responsibility to contribute to the development of settings that promote physical exercise. Child Physical Activity Questionnaire (PAQ-C) and a pedometer were used for this research. A successful strategy is the integration of additional physical activity into the educational curriculum. This may be accomplished not only via physical education programs, but also by integrating active learning techniques into other academic disciplines.
