Abstract

Flood 2010 was one of the worst natural disasters in Pakistan�s history. It affected over 20 million people, killed 1767, injured 2865 and damaged around 1,884,708 households across the country (NDMA, 2010). Approximately one fifth of Pakistan�s total land area (307,374 km2 out of total 796,095 km2) was underwater and out of estimated 22.2 million of hectares of agriculture land, almost 2 million were destroyed in the recent flooding (DWB 2010; TRCS 2010; PCFRC 2011).
