Abstract

Globalization has brought about profound changes in the cultural and linguistic landscapes across the world. For the Baloch people, the forces of globalization present both opportunities and challenges in terms of the preservation and transformation of their language and culture. This article explores the effects of globalization on the Balochi language and culture, focusing on the dynamic interplay between tradition and modernity. The paper analyzes how globalization, through mass media, migration, and technological advancements, has influenced language usage, cultural practices, and identity formation among the Baloch. While globalization has opened doors to greater connectivity and economic opportunities, it has also led to the marginalization of the Balochi language, the erosion of traditional practices, and a shift in the cultural identity of the Baloch people. This article discusses the need for strategic efforts to preserve the Balochi language and culture amidst the forces of globalization.
