This paper explores the phenomenon of language death within the Balochi communities, focusing on the causes, consequences, and the ongoing efforts to revitalize the Balochi language. The study examines the historical, political, and social factors that have led to the decline of Balochi and assesses the role of various stakeholders, including government agencies, local activists, and international organizations, in the efforts to preserve and revitalize the language. By drawing on sociolinguistic theories and case studies from Balochi-speaking regions in Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan, the paper presents an interdisciplinary perspective on the challenges of language endangerment and the potential strategies for linguistic revitalization. The findings contribute to the growing body of research on minority language protection and highlight the significance of community-driven initiatives in sustaining linguistic diversity.
